[ 01 ]About

GreenLabs helps life sciences to be more sustainable by recycling its single-use plastic in Greater Boston. The company then uses the plastic it recycles as feedstock to locally manufacture a lab product that circles back to the scientists it recycles for. When China stopped taking US waste in 2018, traditional waste haulers stopped recycling plastic for biotechs. All of it was ending up in landfills or incinerated. GreenLabs fills that gap by recycling items such as pipette tip boxes and media bottles. It recently started to locally manufacture a Tips Transfer Bin made from 100% recycled plastic it recycles. So now, scientists know exactly what their plastic is being recycling into. GreenLabs' hyperlocal recycling/manufacturing ecosystem happens 60 miles from the biotechs it collects the plastic from.
