Loop CO2 is a pioneering venture focused on transforming carbon dioxide ( CO2 ) into sustainable polymers. The company develops innovative CO2 -based polyols that enable the creation of fully recyclable materials, targeting industries like polyurethane (PU) and thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU). With advanced chemical recycling technology, Loop CO2 aims to close the loop in the polymer lifecycle, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and plastic waste while maintaining cost-competitiveness with traditional petro-based products. Loop CO2 's expanded solutions now include compostable bio-based plastic impact modifiers and adhesives, enabling PLA materials to be composted without fossil-based content. Its innovative technology allows low-temperature depolymerization at 100°C, making the materials both compostable and chemically recyclable for future applications. Furthermore, Loop CO2 offers polyurethane applications, using its CO2 -based polyols to create recyclable, sustainable PUs that provide enhanced processing efficiency, hydrophobicity, and hydrolysis stability.
