MacroCycle takes lower value plastic waste, and upcycles it to virgin-grade plastic with zero carbon emissions. MacroCycle accomplishes this through its patented SolvoGenesis technology, which increases the quality of the plastic without ever having to break the polymer down, taking a significantly more energy efficient pathway that requires 80% less energy. The remaining 20% can then be fully electrified with renewable energy to achieve recycling with zero process emissions. MacroCycle's solution to the plastic waste industry is the MacroCycle PET pellet (mPET). A virgin-grade pellet produced from lower value plastic waste, produced with zero scope 1 emissions, and not requiring a green premium for adoption. The mPET is a drop-in solution for brands to improve their circularity and reduce their scope 3 emissions, all without having to pay a green premium.
