[ 01 ]About

NONA Technologies is an MIT spinout commercializing novel electrochemical water treatment technology. Its portable desalination systems allow effortless seawater desalination in the lightest, most reliable package ever. ICP-based desalination systems can desalinate brackish water with 60% less electricity than Reverse Osmosis systems, with fewer chemical inputs and less downtime. As researchers at MIT, the company's technical team developed a novel electrochemical fluid separation method called Ion Concentration Polarization (ICP). ICP is an alternative to Reverse Osmosis (RO) and thermal desalination. ICP removes suspended and dissolved solids from water, without ever passing suspended solids through a membrane.
